The addition of a family and a fear of hitting large trees eventually lead to the Z3 tarmac rally car being retired and replaced with a 1969 911E configured and logbooked for Group Sb historic circuit racing. The entire car has been gone through end to end since purchase, including significant motor and suspension development. This car is still being raced today against a variety of marques.
The 2.1 litre motor and skinny tyres provide a constant reminder of the origins of early 911 race cars. The exterior colour has recently been returned to its original Bahama Yellow, albeit with period correct dayglo orange bumpers and black watch tartan interior.
