This car arrived as a very rowdy historic race car (Group N logbook) and left as a fun, street drivable, lightweight, very fast, early 911 hot rod. The new owner is now enjoying his 2.3 litre, twin plug, mechanical fuel injection (MFI), close ratio machine all the way to 8000RPM at every shift.

Works were undertaken to the interior, the exterior, the wheels and tyres, the fuel system, the suspension – with the overall design being a street friendlier package that still retains a little of the race car’s character.

At only 960kg and circa 215hp, this early 911 can happily mix it up with much newer and more powerful cars.
