Zollhaus was founded by Ryan Curnick. Ryan started his working life as a design/mechanical engineer before taking a hairpin left turn into patent law. A test drive in a bright orange, but seriously sketchy, early 911 Porsche left a lasting impression which led to 25+ years of driving, rallying, racing, restoring, modifying and collecting air cooled 911’s.
A selection of just some of the 911’s that have graced the Zollhaus garage can be seen here, ranging from road, competition (race and rally), collectable and slightly oddball…. Zollhaus cars have been featured by Duck & Whale, Sports Car Safari and Unique Cars magazines, plus Porsche AG’s own social media channel: Type7.
Zollhaus was formed to draw on that experience in sourcing, designing and building air cooled 911’s to suit customer requirements, especially those requiring something unique. Our philosophy is based around a rigorous design phase before buying a part or turning a wrench, and thus avoiding unsatisfactory outcomes and time consuming and expensive mistakes.
Zollhaus services include:
- sourcing of cars suitable for modification, restoration or investment;

FAQ: Where did the Zollhaus name come from? A: It’s a poor/twisted English to German translation of “custom garage”. We think.
